Producer/Director/Filmmaker
IAN HABGOOD
Welcome! I'm a self-shooting producer-director with ten fulfilling years of experience crafting stories for television documentary series and branded content.
I've had the pleasure of working on TV shows such as Channel 5’s Coastguard (Series 2, 3) and 999: Emergency Call Out(S2), UKTV’s Secrets of The Transport Museum (S1 & 2), Channel 5’s The Dog Rescuers (hosted by Alan Davies), Car Pound Cops, Call The Bailiffs, Sky Arts’ Anyone Can Sing, Outrageous Stunts, World’s Deadliest Weather, BBC Newsbeat, and documentaries for Switzerland’s NZZ Format.
Alongside my broadcast work, I produce authentic, brand-aligned content from concept to delivery for charities and businesses, helping raise awareness and build trust with diverse audiences.
Editorial-minded, I combine creative flair with technical expertise and can sensitively support people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them share their personal stories on camera.
My Services:
I handle the entire video production process, including lighting and filming interviews, capturing actuality, shooting cinematic sequences and B-roll, and editing footage. I own a range of cameras, including a Sony FS7, A7iii, and Canon C300, along with lights and sound equipment, plus an editing suite running Premiere Pro and Final Cut X.
"I've worked with Ian on both an access Obs Doc series as well as development tasters. Ian has been a pleasure to work with on the development side, as a collaborator of ideas, and as a strong shooting PD and intuitive editor of the footage. Ian has also acted as a shooting PD on a series I've SP'ed, filming to a high standard formal interviews and accompanying actuality, in line with the series' format. He's been great with contributors and great working with the rest of the team"

"As you may know, yesterday we received the link to the video you made at our recent Scholars’ morning at City Hall. It’s fantastic and how clever of you to get two excellent soundbites from Boris. We’ve been trying for years and never managed to get anything half as good so congratulations! -
